Cookies

MyMakes only uses what it needs to keep you signed in and working, so there's no cookie banner.

One cookie

MyMakes sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It holds a random session token and nothing about you, is only sent to MyMakes, lasts 30 days (renewed while you use the app) and goes when you sign out. Under UK law (PECR) a cookie that's strictly necessary to provide something you've asked for doesn't need consent, and that's the only kind we use.

Cloudflare, which hosts MyMakes, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots on some requests. It holds nothing about you and is also strictly necessary.

What else your browser keeps

So the app opens quickly and craft fair mode works without signal, your browser keeps on your device: a copy of your login details (name and email, never your password) and which workshop you're in; sales logged at a fair that haven't been sent yet; a copy of the app itself; and whether you've dismissed the install prompt. None of this leaves your device except the sales, which go to your workshop. Signing out clears your login details and sending the queued sales clears them.

No tracking

There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, no third-party scripts and no fingerprinting. If that ever changes, we'll ask you first and update this page.
